So what is link spun? It’s basically an advanced system for trading links with other sites. It allows people to find your site, request trades, and once you agree to a trade it will make sure your link is in place for you.

So how do you start? Well once you’ve signed up and are set up you can add links by clicking on the Manage Pages links on the top right of the screen.

Once you’ve done this type in your links on the bottom of the page and select the categories for the website. From there you have the option to Delete, Hide, or Recategorize the link.

Deleting and Changing categories is pretty straight forward, but keep in mind that hiding links makes them only visible to yourself and your Favorite Users (I’ll get into this in a few.) So this is good if you have a site you don’t want a lot of trades on. It can also cut down on your poor quality trade requests. Believe me, at first you’ll get a lot of bad requests that you’ll find yourself rejecting.

Next I’m going to explain the links in the main toolbar.

Find Trades – This is obvious. Find links based on category and request trades with other users.

Requests – When people request links from you, this is where you go to review. From there you can accept or reject trade requests.

Pending – When a user accepts a trade request of your it goes into Pending and the number on the left will reflect that. You must approve the link they’ve requested for the link to be set up. The second number is list of requests you’ve accepted that await approval from the other user.

Set Up Trades – These are trades in which both users have accepted terms of the trade and are awaiting the links to be placed. The number on left reflects how many links are awaiting placement from you. The second number is how many links await placement from the other user.

Active Trades – This shows the number of trades in which both links are in place from both users.

Manage Profile – Put in an avatar, manage your favorite users and much more from the profile page.

The rest of these should be self explanatory so I won’t go into those.
